Attached is information released by the Eastpointe Police Department regarding a fatal stabbing that happened at the McDonalds on 9 Mile Road.
A coworker who got into an argument with another coworker left the McDonalds, came back with a knife and stabbed the other coworker. The victim was transported to the hospital where they died from their injuries.
The suspect attempted to flee but was captured.

MEDIA RELEASE 7-10-25 HOMICIDE
On 07/10/2025 at approximately 0755hrs, Eastpointe Officers were dispatched to McDonalds (17921 9 Mile) to investigate a stabbing and a subsequent “shot fired” complaint. Investigation revealed that there was a dispute between co-workers and one of them was sent home early. The employee returned a short time later armed with a knife. The employee proceeded to stab the victim whom she had the prior dispute with. A customer who witnessed the assault fired a shot to stop the attack. No one was struck by the bullet. The suspect attempted to flee the scene but was detained by the witness. Eastpointe Officers arrived a short time later and took the suspect into custody. The victim was rushed to a local hospital where she passed away from her wounds. The case is still being investigated. Anyone who witnessed the incident please contact Det Showers at 586-445-9415.
